This is a list of all the Villages in the Naruto Universe
Amegakure (雨隠れの里, Amegakure no Sato; Literally meaning "Village Hidden in Rain") is a small, yet highly industrialized hidden village located in an unnamed country. A number of smaller villages also surround Amegakure. As its name suggests, it rains almost constantly due to a storm above the village. Many shinobi from this village seem to wear a kind of mask that allows them to breathe underwater.
Getsugakure (月隠れの里, Getsugakure no Sato; literally "Village Hidden under the Moon") is a hidden village in the Land of the Moon. A shinobi from this village briefly appears during the Chūnin Exams. This village has been shown in Naruto the Movie 3: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom.
Hoshigakure (星隠れの里, Hoshigakure no Sato; Literally meaning "Village Hidden Among Stars") was introduced during the Hoshigakure filler arc. It is located in the Land of Bears, and is one of the lesser-known Shinobi Villages in the Naruto Universe. Hoshigakure was formed sometime after a strange meteorite, which the inhabitants called the "star," struck its location 200 years earlier. No trees or plants could grow around the vicinity after it landed. Information gathered from the villagers suggests that the village can't have been founded much sooner than Konoha was. Its leader is the Hoshikage (星影; Literally meaning "Star Shadow"), although the leader is a Kage in name only. The other villages do not recognize Hoshigakure as an equal, nor is there any ninja truly worthy of the title.

Iwagakure (岩隠れの里, Iwagakure no Sato; English TV "Hidden Stone Village"; Literally meaning "Village Hidden in the Rocks") is the hidden village of the Land of Earth. As one of the five great ninja villages, Iwagakure has a Kage as its leader known as the Tsuchikage. There have been three Tsuchikage, the most recent being Ōnoki. Iwagakure is well-known for the rock-hard attitude of its shinobi; as soon as the Tsuchikage gives an order, the Iwa-nin do so without hesitating, even if it means death. Iwagakure ninja seem to specialize in earth release techniques.
The rocky mountain ranges that surround the village and country provide a natural stronghold. The village profits from this advantageous position and is proud of its strong defences. The village sits among a mountain range consisting of small narrow waterfalls, with the buildings being composed of rock and stone; shaped from large, elevated formations of rock into tower-like structures. Many of its buildings sit on cliffs connected by a network of bridges. The Tsuchikage's palace seems to be the tallest structure with a cone shaped roof.
The Jōmae Village (錠前の里, Jōmae no Sato; Literally meaning "Lock Village") is a village located in the Land of Keys. This village's ninja are experts in espionage in order to gain information for negotiations with larger, more powerful nations. Ninja in this village seem to be specifically trained in gaining information while giving none in return as evident by Hanare's Eye Mind Reading technique and their leader's willingness to commit suicide rather than be taken hostage by enemy ninja.
Kagerō Village (陽炎の里, Kagerō no Sato; English TV "Heat Devil Village"; Literally meaning "Heat Haze Village"), introduced in the anime, was a small village located in the Land of Mountains. Thirty years before the series begins, it was at war with Konoha. After a surprise attack led by Jiraiya and several Konoha ninja, they declared a cease-fire. Two weeks later, however, another rival village wiped them out. Only Gennō, who had been in Konoha at the time planting explosive tags for a possible counter-attack, survived its destruction
Kirigakure (霧隠れの里, Kirigakure no Sato; Literally meaning "Village Hidden in the Mist") is located in the Land of Water. As one of the five great ninja villages, Kirigakure has a Kage as its leader known as the Mizukage. There have been five Mizukage, the current one being Mei Terumī. An unusually high number of missing-nin seem to originate from this village. A unique classification of ninja known as hunter-nin are specifically tasked with eliminating these defectors.
Kirigakure's architecture is composed of several cylindrical buildings, with the Mizukage's palace being the widest and the largest. Like its name, the village is surrounded by a thick mist, with several mountains in the background, making it difficult to find by foreigners.
Konohagakure (木ノ葉隠れの里, Konohagakure no Sato; Literally meaning "Village Hidden Among Tree Leaves"; also known as "Village Hidden in the Leaves" or "Hidden Leaf Village") is the Hidden Village of the Land of Fire. As one of the five Great Ninja Villages, Konohagakure has a Kage as its leader known as the Hokage. There have been five Hokage, the most recent being Tsunade. On a mountain overlooking the village from the north exists the Hokage Monument. Although Konoha, much like the country in which it resides, has been relatively peaceful since the end of the Third Shinobi World War, it remains one of the most powerful villages in existence, and has great military power and influence, though this has waned in the past three years following the attacks by Orochimaru and Pain.
Kumogakure (雲隠れの里, Kumogakure no Sato; Literally meaning "Village Hidden in the Clouds") is the Hidden Village of the Land of Lightning. As one of the five Great Ninja Villages, Kumogakure has a Kage as its leader known as the Raikage. There have been four Raikage, the most recent being A. Use of lightning release techniques and swords seem to be common of ninja from this village.
The village is located in a range of tall mountains, and is literally hidden in the clouds. The Raikage lives in a large blue structure built into the tallest mountain.
Kusagakure (草隠れの里, Kusagakure no Sato; Literally meaning "Village Hidden in the Grass") is located in a thus far unnamed country. Because it had Genin participating in the Chūnin exams organised by Konohagakure, it can be assumed the two villages are allied. Although it has never been named, the country Kusagakure is located in has been shown on several occasions. The country is rich with forests, some consisting of giant mushrooms or bamboo. It also seems to have many rivers and deep ravines.
During the Third Shinobi World War, the country was invaded by Iwagakure and served as an important front between Iwa and Konoha. More than a decade later, Orochimaru had a hideout somewhere in the country.
Mount Myōboku (妙木山, Myōbokuzan; English TV "Mount Myoboku"; Literally meaning "Mysterious/Exquisite Tree Mountain"), also known as the "Mountain of Bewilderment" (迷いの山, Mayoi no Yama) is the land of toads, the place where all the toads that Naruto, Minato and Jiraiya have summoned live. It is home for huge and small toads alike. Mount Myōboku is a rich and beautiful land, whose ultimate authority seems to be the Great Toad Sage. Shima and Fukasaku are both elders and sages, and they seem to have an even higher authority than Gamabunta himself.
Moyagakure (モヤ隠れの里, Moyagakure no Sato; Literally meaning "Village Hidden in the Haze") is located in an unnamed country. This hidden village is briefly mentioned in episode 101. The Moya Triad originated from this briefly mentioned village. The Village's Headband is etched with a figure of a question mark, as seen on Aniki's personnel.
Otogakure (音隠れの里, Otogakure no Sato; Literally meaning "Village Hidden in Sound"), called Oto for short, was Orochimaru's personal village, founded for the express purpose of collecting ninja for his experiments and his quest to learn all jutsu. In actuality, Oto is not really a village, but a group of hideouts and bases scattered throughout the Land of Sound and other countries. Sound ninja use a diverse amount of jutsu, which are mostly centered around modifications and mutations Orochimaru gave them.
Shimogakure (霜隠れの里, Shimogakure no Sato; Literally meaning "Village Hidden in Frost") is the hidden village located in the Land of Frost.
Sunagakure (砂隠れの里, Sunagakure no Sato; Literally meaning "Village Hidden in the Sand") is the hidden village of the Land of Wind. As one of the five great ninja villages, Sunagakure has a Kage as its leader known as the Kazekage and he lives in a spherical structure in the center of the village. There have been five Kazekage, the most recent being Gaara. The ninja from this village seem to specialize in Wind Release techniques and the Puppet Technique.
Shinobi from Sunagakure believe that the accomplishment of a mission predominates the lives of the ninja trying to accomplish it.
Takigakure (滝隠れの里, Takigakure no Sato; Literally meaning "Village Hidden in a Waterfall") is a village located in an unnamed country. In terms of the village's appearance, Takigakure seems to be based on mostly Southeast Asian aesthetics. Their current leader is Shibuki. The ninja of this village seem to specialize in water-based jutsu.
Takumi Village (匠の里, Takumi no Sato; Literally meaning "Village of Artisans") resides in the small Land of Rivers. It was founded approximately one hundred years ago by a man named Seimei. Takumi is known for its skills in making weaponry, many of which are sold to the ninja villages of the world. When the village faced hard times they requested help but they were ignored by the other shinobi villages. Certain skilled Takumi villagers grew resentful and felt the villages didn't respect them for all the help their weapons provided in the past.
Tanigakure (谷隠れの里, Tanigakure no Sato; Literally meaning "Village Hidden in Valleys") is the hidden village of the Land of Rivers.
The Tsuchigumo village is the village of the Tsuchigumo clan. It is led by Hotaru's uncle, the Tsuchigumo chief. This village is composed of the members of the Tsuchigumo clan who refused to follow En no Gyōja to Mount Katsuragi, and consquently denied the Tsuchigumo clan kinjutsu. They were made into pawns by the Magaki group who sought the kinjutsu.
Tsukigakure (月隠れの里, Tsukigakure no Sato; Literally meaning "Village Hidden under the Moon"; also known as "Hidden Moon Village") is a hidden village which featured in Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3. As it is not one of the Great Five Ninja Villages, it does not have a Kage. Instead, they have a village head. The current chief is Tsukino, who recently succeeded her father after he died. They have a hereditary system. Positions are passed down to the next generation.
Uzushiogakure (渦潮隠れの里, Uzushiogakure no Sato; Literally meaning "Village Hidden among the Whirling Tides") was the shinobi village of the Land of Whirlpools. Its ninja were renowned for their fūinjutsu to the point that it led to its destruction in war. The survivors of the village's destruction scattered across the globe. The people of Uzushiogakure were noted to have notoriously long lives, so it gained the title "the village of longevity" (長寿の里, Chōju no Sato).
Yugakure (湯隠れの里, Yugakure no Sato; Literally Meaning "Village Hidden in Hot Water") is the village that the Akatsuki member Hidan originated from. It lies in Land of Hot Water. Once a ninja village, Yugakure decided that it didn't want to stay a hidden village and transitioned out into a peaceful and prosperous village instead. However, Hidan, growing up, already showed a tendency toward violent Jashinist ways, disagreed with this and slaughtered his neighbors before leaving the village.
Yukigakure (雪隠れの里, Yukigakure no Sato; Literally meaning "Village Hidden in the Snow") is located in the Land of Snow and featured in the first Naruto movie. Its ninja apparently specialize in manipulating preexisting ice. In the movie, the ninja from this village had a special "chakra armour" which protected them from most attacks while amplifying the user's abilities, and their jutsu arsenal typically used ice in the forms of various animals. At the end of the movie, the snow is subsequently melted and the country is renamed the Land of Spring. It is unknown what happens to the village.
